About Us

La luce was founded by Joy Harvey and Marco Rossi in 2021. As outsiders they never focused on what was usual but rather what was right. The compass of the company is to have a positive impact all along the supply chain and to promote craftsmanship around the world. As Joy often says, “working with my hands, at my bench, is my peace, my way to unwind and let my hands be the carrier of my thoughts. But I don’t believe my peace should hinder other people or the planet”. This is why in 2024 la luce has become a certified B corp. While Joy is the goldsmith and soul of this project, Marco is the enabler and technological mind without whom La Luce would have never existed. They are a chemist and a mechanical engineer, a goldsmith and a photographer, and they are desperately trying to create their future in a complex world pulling someone up along the way instead of pushing them down. Joy creates from 10 to 15 pieces a year but they always try to accommodate commissions, even for smaller objects from anyone who shares their believes and wants to help have a positive impact.
